MerchFox requests only the eBay API scopes needed to publish listings and fulfill orders.
- OAuth authorization on eBay’s own page — your eBay password is never shared with MerchFox.
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest, stored only on our servers, and used only for your account.
- Disconnect at any time — MerchFox revokes its eBay access and deletes the stored tokens.

eBay integration questions
How does MerchFox connect to my eBay account?
MerchFox uses eBay’s OAuth authorization. You start the connection from the MerchFox Seller Portal, sign in to eBay, and approve the requested access. MerchFox never sees your eBay password.
What eBay data can MerchFox access?
Only what the integration needs: your account identity, the listings you publish, your business policies, your orders, and buyer messages about those orders. MerchFox does not request access to your payouts or financial data.
Do I need business policies?
Yes. Every eBay listing needs shipping, payment, and return policies. MerchFox checks for them before publishing and tells you which one is missing.
Can I disconnect MerchFox?
Yes. Disconnect your account from the Seller Portal at any time. MerchFox revokes its access with eBay and deletes the stored tokens, so it can no longer read or update anything in your account.
How much does the eBay integration cost?
Connecting eBay is free. On the Seller plan there is no monthly fee — you pay the product base cost plus shipping for each order MerchFox fulfills. eBay’s own selling fees are billed by eBay as usual.
Who handles customer service and returns?
You remain the seller on eBay and handle buyer communication. If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, MerchFox reprints or refunds it under our quality policy.
